We are more than half way through 2021! Can you believe it? Fall is just around the corner which means all of our favorite seasons are among us: football season, oyster roast season, and wedding season!
Fall weddings are definitely one of my favorite things. I love the colors, the floral, the food....you just can't go wrong with a fall wedding. I say this as got married in November many moons ago; so maybe I am a little biased but nonetheless, fall weddings are my jam!
Here's a few things we predict will be the top trends for the upcoming wedding season:
1. Emerald Green
We predict that we'll see a lot of Emerald Green this fall. It's a delicious color and creates a very rich color palate. Pair with pale orange or powder blue to complete the look. Emerald green is a flattering color for everyone!
2. Micro-weddings are here to stay!
We know, COVID was the original trendsetter for micro-weddings. In my experience planning weddings in the past, some of my very most favorite weddings were smaller intimate gatherings. You can splurge a little more on the things that are important to you and share it with your closest friends and family. Think how fun it would be to have a food and wine pairing experience for 20 guests in our dining room?! With a smaller guest count, you can also spend more money on special touches such as your place settings and favors.
3. Dried Flowers
We have seen our fair share of floral trends. From bouquets with cymbidium neon green orchids back in the day to succulents galore...floral trends are constantly changing. Pampas grass was all the rage this past wedding season which has brought us into this dried floral trend transition. Think: dried palm fronds. We'll even likely see a lot of these arrangements in floating styles too.
4. Make a Statement
It's time to make statement gowns a thing. I think this upcoming season we'll start to see brides in statement wedding gowns. Think patterns and unique colors beyond blush. Moody and playful.
5. Cool Cakes
Naked cakes were a moment and white cakes came back around but just like statement gowns, cool, creative cakes are going to be all the rage this fall. I would love to see cakes inspired by potential statement gowns too!
